Stream to YouTube from StreetTeam

Connect your channel once. StreetTeam creates each show’s broadcast and key, so there is nothing to paste.

Let your agent set up YouTube

Copy this into Claude, ChatGPT or your StreetTeam robot. It connects to StreetTeam and does the steps below with you. You only click what it gives you.

It never asks for a password or stream key.

Read the prompt
Set up livestreaming to YouTube for my StreetTeam workspace, so my StreetTeam shows stream there. Do the work yourself; my part is clicking what you give me.

1. Connect. If StreetTeam tools are already available to you, skip to step 3. Otherwise add StreetTeam's hosted MCP server (https://streetteam.fm/api/mcp):
   - Codex: run `codex mcp add streetteam-hosted --url https://streetteam.fm/api/mcp`, then `codex mcp login streetteam-hosted`.
   - Claude Code: run `claude mcp add --transport http --scope user streetteam-hosted https://streetteam.fm/api/mcp`, then `claude mcp login streetteam-hosted`.
Run these yourself. If your sandbox blocks a command, ask me to allow it.
   - Only if you are ChatGPT or the Claude app, which cannot add servers themselves: give me the fewest clicks to add a custom connector named StreetTeam with that URL, then wait for me.
   - Any other assistant (Gemini, Grok and the rest): add it as a remote MCP server over HTTP with OAuth sign-in if you can, or give me the fewest clicks to do it; if your app cannot connect to MCP servers at all, say so in one line.
2. Sign in. A StreetTeam page opens in my browser; tell me to click the big purple button on it (Connect, or Approve & connect). That click should be the only thing I do. Never ask me for a password or token. If your tools only appear in a new session, tell me in one short line to start a new chat and paste this message again.
3. Read. Call list_artists, pick the workspace my tasks point to and name it, then call get_livestream_setup for it. Work through to the summary without stopping for questions.
4. Set up YouTube, unless it already is:
   - YouTube: for each one already connected, call add_stream_destination_from_connection (landscape) now. Put the connectUrl of every one not connected into ONE message to me, all at once; once I say done, add those the same way.
Never ask me for a password, token or stream key, and never write a key in chat. Fix a destination with update_stream_destination.
5. Choose shows. Call list_event_types and read my livestream event types in get_livestream_setup. Apply the recommendation yourself with set_event_type_restream: mode auto for public shows (masterclass, workshop), with YouTube among the destinations, and mode off, never auto, for private calls (coaching) and for every fan_bookable type. Leave a type you cannot place as it is and name it in the summary. Report each change with how to undo it (set_event_type_restream back to its old mode). Do not call set_restream_auto_start unless I ask.
Finish in under 150 words: what you changed and how to undo it, what is live, any Connect link I have not clicked yet, what I still do before each show, and the guide: https://streetteam.fm/docs/livestreaming/youtube. End with two one-line offers, not steps: a line on the video for viewers who cannot press my StreetTeam button (set_event_type_social_overlay, once I give a headline and short link), and a 5-minute unlisted test show on a test stage (create_event) to check YouTube shows me and a comment there reaches my stage chat.

What you need

  • A YouTube channel with live streaming turned on. YouTube can take up to 24 hours to switch it on the first time.

Connect it once

  1. In StreetTeam open Live › Stream to socials, tap YouTube (and every other platform you use) and press Set up. Sign in with the Google account that owns the channel; you come straight back and YouTube is on for every show.

Before every show

  1. Press Create broadcast and pick who can watch: Unlisted for tests, Public for shows, or Private. You can change it after the show, for example to make the replay unlisted.
  2. Go live on StreetTeam. YouTube starts by itself.

Comments in your chat

Arrive in your stage chat by themselves once YouTube is connected.

More on comments, picking which shows stream everywhere, and a 5-minute test show in the livestreaming guide.

Limits and troubleshooting

  • Not connected? Paste the persistent key from YouTube Studio → Create → Go live → Stream instead. Turn on Dual stream there if you want YouTube to make a vertical Shorts version too.
  • A test you ran as Unlisted stays Unlisted: switch it to Public before a real show.
